Your adventure begins at Barshaini, the base point for the Kheerganga Trek. As you set out, you’ll be greeted by the soothing sound of the Parvati River and surrounded by dense forests of deodar and pine.
The trail to Kheerganga is around 12–13 kilometres long and takes you through charming villages like Nakthan and Kalga, where you can experience the simple beauty of Himachali life. Along the way, enjoy picturesque views of waterfalls, wooden bridges, and snow-capped peaks in the distance.
As you ascend, the air grows cooler and fresher. After a fulfilling trek, you’ll reach Kheerganga, a stunning meadow nestled high in the Himalayas. Here, you can relax in the natural hot springs, believed to have healing properties, while soaking in the panoramic mountain views.
As the evening sets in, set up camp under the starry Himalayan sky and enjoy the peace and beauty of this sacred place.
Wake up early to enjoy the magical sunrise over the Himalayas and experience the soothing warmth of Kheerganga’s natural hot springs one last time. After a hearty breakfast amidst the mountain serenity, begin your descent back towards Barshaini.
The downhill trek takes around 4–5 hours, leading you through peaceful forest trails, charming wooden bridges, and streams flowing alongside the path. Take your time to pause, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and capture the final glimpses of the Parvati Valley’s breathtaking landscapes.
