Tour Plan

Day 01 Drive Manali to Solang Valley & Trek to Shagadugh
  • Your journey begins with a morning meeting at Manali (Rambagh area near Mall Road). After registration, document verification, and a short briefing by the Wild Hike trek leader, the group will drive to Solang Valley (approx. 14 km | 45 minutes).

From Solang Valley, the trek starts towards Shagadugh, the base camp for Patalsu Peak. The trail passes through Solang village and gradually enters dense pine and oak forests. The route is well-marked and offers beautiful views of Solang Valley and surrounding peaks.

The trek is mostly gradual with a few steep sections, making it suitable for beginners. Water points are available along the route. After trekking for about 4–5 hours, you will reach Shagadugh campsite, located in a scenic forest clearing.

In the evening, enjoy tea and snacks, followed by dinner. Overnight stay in tents under the stars.

Day 02 Shagadugh to Patalsu Peak Summit & Return to Shagadugh

Today is the most important and exciting day of the trek. After an early breakfast, begin the summit push towards Patalsu Peak.

The trail gradually ascends through alpine terrain and open ridgelines. As you gain altitude, the forest gives way to vast mountain views. The climb includes steep sections and narrow ridges, and strong winds are common near the summit.

There are no water sources on summit day, so every trekker must carry at least 2 liters of water.

After several hours of steady ascent, you will reach the summit of Patalsu Peak (13,990 ft). From the top, enjoy breathtaking 360° views of Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Deo Tibba, Manali Peak, Beas Kund, Shitidhar, and Rohtang Pass.

Spend some time at the summit capturing photographs and soaking in the views before beginning the descent back to Shagadugh campsite.

Day 03 Trek from Shagadugh to Solang Valley & Drive to Manali

After an early breakfast at the campsite, begin the descent from Shagadugh towards Solang Valley via the same forest trail used on Day 01.

The downhill trek is easy and relaxing, passing once again through beautiful pine and oak forests with occasional views of Solang Valley. Water points are available along the route.

After trekking for about 2–3 hours, you will reach Solang Valley. From here, drive back to Manali (approx. 45 minutes).

The trek concludes upon arrival in Manali with unforgettable memories of the Patalsu Peak Summit Trek.
