Tour Plan

Day 01 Dehradun To Sankri

You will be picked up from Dehradun in the morning for a 240 km (about 10 hours) drive to Sankri. The road to Sankri is long but very beautiful. You will pass through Mussoorie, Barkot, Purola, Mori, and Netwar, driving along the Tons River.

Sankri is a peaceful village in the Uttarkashi district, located on the slopes of the Himalayas. This small village is the base camp for many famous treks like Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun, Rupin Pass, Bali Pass, and more.

Sankri is located at 6,400 ft inside the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a perfect place for people who love nature, silence, mountains, and adventure. The village has beautiful wooden houses, rich culture, and stunning views of the Himalayan peaks.

You will reach Sankri in the evening. Enjoy your dinner and spend the night there.

Day 02 Sankri To Juda Ka Talab

After breakfast in Sankri, you will start your trek towards Juda Ka Talab. The trail is about 4 km and takes 4–5 hours to reach. The path goes through beautiful pine forests, small clearings, and snow-covered routes (in winter).

As you walk higher, the air becomes cooler and the forest becomes denser. You may also get wonderful views of mountain peaks peeking through the trees.

Juda Ka Talab is a peaceful lake surrounded by tall pine trees. In winter, the lake often freezes, making the place look magical. This campsite is known for its calm atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.

After reaching the campsite, relax and enjoy tea and snacks. Later, have dinner and spend the night in tents near the lake.

Day 03 Juda Ka Talab To C

After breakfast, you will start your trek from Juda Ka Talab to the Kedarkantha Base Camp. The trail is around 3–4 km and usually takes 3 hours to reach.
The route becomes more open as you walk higher, giving you beautiful views of snowy meadows and tall pine forests.

As you climb, the mountain peaks start to appear closer. The base camp is located in a wide open area surrounded by snow-covered hills. It is one of the most beautiful campsites of the trek.

After reaching the base camp, you can rest, enjoy the view, and prepare for the next day’s early morning summit climb. Have dinner and stay overnight at the base camp.

Day 04 Base Camp To Kedarkantha Peak → Hargaon

You will wake up very early, around 2–3 AM, and start your climb to the Kedarkantha Summit. The climb is steep but very rewarding. As you move up, the snow becomes thicker and the air becomes colder.

Reaching the summit feels magical. From the top, you get a 360° view of the Himalayan ranges, including peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak, and many others.
Watching the sunrise from here is unforgettable — the mountains glow golden as the sun rises.

After spending some time at the summit, you will trek down to the base camp and then continue towards Hargaon, a calm and scenic campsite surrounded by forests.

Have dinner and rest at Hargaon for the night.

Day 05 Hargaon to Sankri → Dehradun

After breakfast, you will trek down from Hargaon to Sankri. The trail is easy and passes through forests and small clearings. It usually takes 3–4 hours to reach Sankri.

From Sankri, you will start your drive back to Dehradun. You will reach Dehradun by evening, ending your beautiful Kedarkantha adventure.
